mediven for men select at a glance

Men's compression in a casual patterned knit, with soft, plush fabric and an extra-wide mediGrip® top band for a stay-put fit. Anatomic left and right foot shaping and Acu-Knit® construction.

Real compression that wears like an everyday sock.

mediven for men select knee-high socks in 15-20 mmHg are men’s graduated compression socks styled as a subtle patterned dress-or-casual sock. At the light, entry-level 15-20 mmHg range, they relieve tired, aching, heavy legs, ease mild to moderate spider and varicose veins and mild swelling, and support everyday venous health.

Engineered for men’s feet with anatomical left and right shaping and a roomy toe box, select stays comfortable all day. A soft, extra-wide mediGrip® silicone top band grips the leg to stop end-of-day bunching at the ankle, and the lanolin-infused fabric feels as good as it looks. Only you will know you are wearing compression. The subtle textured knit pairs with dress or casual wear.

What is mediven for men?
mediven for men is a venous compression dress sock line styled to look like everyday men's hosiery, available in two patterns: classic (a refined dress-sock look) and select (a casual pattern with an extra-wide mediGrip® top band). Both deliver graduated medical compression in discreet, wardrobe-friendly colors.
What's the difference between for men classic and for men select?
Classic is a professional dress-sock design with a lanolin blend for premium softness, while select uses a casual pattern with soft, plush fabric and a soft extra-wide mediGrip® top band for a stay-put fit. Both share anatomical left/right foot shaping and Acu-Knit® construction; the choice is dress versus casual styling.
Will mediven for men look like regular men's socks?
Yes, that is the design intent. classic reads as a professional dress sock and select as a casual patterned sock, both offered in neutral menswear colors (tan, grey, navy, brown, black) so they blend into a normal wardrobe.
What is the anatomical left and right foot design?
Each sock is shaped specifically for the left or right foot rather than a single symmetrical shape, which gives a closer, more comfortable fit with less bunching. Look for the right/left markings when putting them on.
Does mediven for men come in tall or extra-wide sizing?
Yes, for men is offered in calf and calf-tall lengths, with extra-wide calf options for fuller calves. Measure your calf circumference and length against the size chart to choose the right combination.
What does 15-20 mmHg compression treat?
15-20 mmHg is light, entry-level medical compression. It supports mild to moderate spider veins, early or symptomatic varicose veins, mild venous edema, and tired, achy, heavy legs. It's also commonly used for everyday prevention during long travel, prolonged standing or sitting, and pregnancy.
Do I need a prescription for 15-20 mmHg compression?
No. 15-20 mmHg is the lightest medical compression range and is available over the counter without a prescription in most regions. Higher compression levels (20-30 mmHg and above) are typically prescribed by a clinician for diagnosed conditions.
Can I wear 15-20 mmHg compression every day?
Yes. 15-20 mmHg is designed for daily wear and is well-suited to long days at work, travel, pregnancy, and general venous health maintenance. Replace your stockings every 3-6 months with regular use, as the compression fabric naturally loses elasticity over time.
Is 15-20 mmHg right for me if I'm new to compression?
15-20 mmHg is widely recommended as a starting point for first-time compression wearers. The light compression is comfortable enough for all-day wear while still providing meaningful support. If you've been prescribed a specific compression level, follow your clinician's guidance.
What's the difference between 15-20 mmHg and 20-30 mmHg?
15-20 mmHg is light compression suitable for mild symptoms and prevention; 20-30 mmHg is the most commonly prescribed therapeutic level, used for more pronounced varicose veins, moderate edema, post-sclerotherapy maintenance, and chronic venous insufficiency. If you're treating a diagnosed condition, your clinician will determine the appropriate level.
