duomed advantage at a glance

The main duomed line: soft, subtly opaque compression with a comfortable knit top band and a virtually invisible toe seam. The broadest duomed range, knee highs through maternity pantyhose, 15-20 through 30-40 mmHg.

Trusted compression quality, made affordable.

duomed advantage knee highs in 30-40 mmHg deliver firm graduated compression in a soft, subtly opaque knit built for everyday wear. A comfortable knit top band holds the stocking in place without digging in, and a practically invisible toe seam keeps the foot smooth against the skin. The open toe leaves the toes exposed, which suits warm weather, sandals and application with a donning aid.

Key features

  • Soft opaque knit - conceals blemishes, spider veins and minor varicosities while staying comfortable through a full day.
  • Comfortable knit top band - stays in place without pinching or rolling.
  • Practically invisible toe seam - reduces rubbing across the toes.
  • Durable construction - holds accurate graduated compression through repeated wear and washing.

Good for

  • Advanced venous insufficiency - firm containment where a lighter knit is not enough.
  • Significant swelling - controls persistent edema through the day.
  • Post-thrombotic symptoms - long-term management after a deep vein thrombosis.
  • Clinician-directed wear - normally prescribed and fitted. Accurate measurement is essential at this level.

Care Instructions

Hand wash or machine wash only using gentle detergents on delicate cycle at 100°F. Do not use fabric softeners, chlorine-based detergents, or Woolite™-type detergents. Most mediven models are suitable for machine drying using the gentle cycle. Do not dry over heaters, in direct sunlight, or by wringing out the garments. Do not dry clean or iron your medi garments. Use the medi stocking guardian wash bag to wash your compression garments with extra care and to prolong their lifespan. Follow the specific wear and care instructions provided with each product.

What does 30-40 mmHg compression treat?
30-40 mmHg is a strong therapeutic compression range used for severe varicose veins, significant edema, healed venous ulcers, and chronic venous insufficiency. It is a clinician-directed level for more advanced venous conditions.
Do I need a prescription for 30-40 mmHg?
Yes, 30-40 mmHg is firm medical compression that should be prescribed and fitted by a clinician. Accurate measurement is important at this level for both effectiveness and safety.
Is 30-40 mmHg hard to put on?
Higher compression is firmer and takes more technique to apply, which is why mediven uses Acu-Knit® construction and offers donning aids to make it manageable. A donning aid or rubber gloves can make application much easier, ask your provider for guidance.
Can anyone wear 30-40 mmHg?
No, firm compression at this level is not appropriate for everyone, particularly people with significant arterial disease or certain other conditions. A clinician should confirm that 30-40 mmHg is safe and appropriate before you wear it.
